AvailablePrivacy: what is stored where
In short: recordings, notes and labels are on your phone. The main features work without the internet; no account is needed.
What is stored where
- Recordings, notes, labels, favorites: on this phone.
- Backup: only where you saved it: to a file or to a folder you choose. Recordings, notes and labels do not leave the phone until you save or send them yourself. Automatic copying of recordings to a user-configured FTP/FTPS server is temporarily unavailable in the current version of RecUmi Calls.
- Error reports: not sent in the current version.
- Transcription and translation: on the phone by default. If only the system recognition service is available for a language, the app asks for your consent first. The built-in Google translation library sends technical data (not recordings or text) to Google. Details are in the privacy policy.
- PIN and biometrics: checked on the phone. They hide recordings inside the app, but the audio files themselves are not changed.
The recording service
The recording service is needed only to record calls. It does not send your data anywhere.
Where to look
“Settings → Storage” shows how much space recordings take and lets you manage them.
