Where call recording was tested

Phone makers restrict access to call audio in different ways. So we keep it honest: what is verified, what is being checked, and what we do not promise.

What was tested

  • Recording of cellular calls and WhatsApp calls was tested on a test build of RecUmi Calls. The result depends on the device and the Android version. The public version requires a separate check.

Being checked

  • Telegram, Viber, MAX and WeChat calls — not guaranteed yet.
  • Other phone models — the result depends on the model and Android version.

Requirements

  • Android 9 or newer.
  • The initial market for RecUmi Calls is Kazakhstan. Being able to download the app from other countries does not mean confirmed compatibility or compliance with local law. Before using call recording, you must comply with the requirements of your country.
  • Install from the installation file on the download page.

How to check on your phone

Install the app, open “Settings → RecUmi Calls readiness” and make a test call — see install. If the recording is quiet, try the speakerphone during the test call.

Help us grow the list. If recording does not work on your phone, write to support@recumi.com: phone model, Android version and which call you tested. We add a model to the list only after our own check.
