Your recordings stay with you
A short summary of how RecUmi products handle data. This page does not replace the privacy policies and says no more than they do: if anything differs, the policy applies.
RecUmi Calls: the essentials
- Recordings and transcripts are stored on your phone. We do not receive them.
- There is no account and no sign-in. We do not sell data and show no ads.
- The app does not send error reports to the developer.
- Copies go only where you send them yourself.

RecUmi Calls
- You can hide recordings behind a PIN or fingerprint. The PIN is stored as a protected hash. This hides recordings in the app; it does not encrypt the files.
- Requests to the update server use HTTPS.
- The built-in Google translation library sends technical data (not recordings or text) to Google whether or not you use translation; this cannot be turned off in the app.
- If you allow the system's cloud recognizer for a language, its provider processes the audio for transcription.
Downloading RecUmi Calls
RecUmi Calls is distributed as a direct download from our website. The download page openly lists the version, file size and checksum, so you can confirm the file was not changed on the way.
