Why the app asks for permissions

In short: before Android asks for a permission, RecUmi explains why it is needed and what happens with it. You decide: "Allow" or "Not now".

What you see on the screen

Each screen answers: "Why this access is needed", "What RecUmi can see", "What RecUmi does with it" and "What RecUmi does NOT do". There is a link to the privacy policy.

Call log and contacts

Needed to show the real number, name and direction (incoming or outgoing) of each call in the list. They are read only on the phone and are not sent anywhere. If you refuse, the app still works, but calls show as "Unknown number".

Microphone and phone state

Needed to record calls and your voice notes, and to know when a call starts and ends. While recording, Android shows an icon and a notification. Recordings stay on the phone. In your country the law may require telling the other person about the recording.

Other access

Accessibility service and notification access are explained the same way, and you turn them on yourself in Android settings.

Changing your mind

You can change permissions in the phone settings at any time. The state of all access is shown in "Settings → RecUmi Calls readiness".
