How to trim a recording

In short: open a recording, tap “Trim”, set the start and end, tap “Save copy”. The original is not changed.

How to use it

Open a recording in the log.
Tap “Trim”: the “Trim recording” screen opens.
Set the “Start” and “End” of the fragment. The “−1 s” and “+1 s” buttons help you move a boundary precisely. The minimum length is 1 second.
Check the result with “Play selection”.
Tap “Save copy”.

What happens

A new recording with the chosen fragment appears. The original stays as it was. Not every format can be trimmed; if the format does not allow it, the app will say so.

Example

In a half-hour call the repairman named the price within 12 seconds. Trim those 12 seconds and send only them, without exposing the rest.

Privacy

Trimming happens on your phone. The file is not sent anywhere until you tap “Share”.
